Auditions for a web series pilot with the potential to become a series will be held Saturday, August 7th from 9am - 4pm. Here are the roles we are looking for:
The leading man, Trey "Triple Kill" Stevens. He's a hardcore gamer in his mid-20's who spends every waking moment studying game strategies and trying to go professional. Sure, he's boastful and cocky, but all he wants is to be good at something. He's very competitive; he has to win in everything he does. But I think once you peel away the layers of attitude and arrogance, you'll find that he's kinda lonely and doesn't really have a good self-image of himself.
Mark Stevens: early 50's, Trey's father. He wants Trey to find a real job, make something more of himself. Sure, he's stern and somewhat demanding, but he wants what's best for his son. I find some of his interactions with Trey a little amusing, but he's the straight man.
I'm also in search of Trey's best friend, Ben Davis, mid-20's. A former hardcore gamer, but now holds down a FT job. He urges Trey to take up a hobby besides gaming.
Jason: mid-20's, the captain of The Konami Code. He can't stand Trey's antics and wants him banished from the team.
And then there's Paul Brown: mid-20's, Trey's arch-rival. He has the looks of a teen heart-throb. One of the best gamers in the world. He's a star and he acts like it. He doesn't have a speaking role in this episode, but he is seen.
If you are interested, please send your resumes and headshots with the role you would like to audition for. This is a non-paying gig. Again, auditions will be held Saturday, August 7th from 9am - 4pm. Video auditions will also be accepted, but must be emailed no later than that Saturday night. The script has a lot of gamer-speak and references, but one doesn't need to know or be familiar with these. |
